Yep!
Today I'm trying how it is to go through life with brown eyes!
Must say the whole appearance changes with such a tiny detail as the colour of the eyes.
I'm wearing dark brown lenses, so it was hard to take pictures of the eyes where my natural eye colour doesn't show, so please be kind to me if it looks like I have a fish eye!
Another reason I did this was because we got a question from Amygash! of what works best with brown eyes.
And my first thought was blue, hence the look. I blended some gold and brown into the blue to get a suitable look for daywear, but you can go all the way with the blue too.
But when it comes to make up I think it's very important not to get stuck in do or don'ts colours because that is so obstructive. When I do my looks I go for the mood I'm in, if all I can think of is purple, then purple it is!
And the times I don't follow my mood, the look often turns out to be something I loathe.

you look gorgeous with brown eyes :) I find that most makeup colors look good with brown eyes: green, blues, purples, golds....they all light up brown tones, just like brown skin.

I think brown eyes are so awesome because they can carry any bright-ass color in the blue-green family. Teal I find to be of the uppermost awesomness for brown eyes.
However, this exact navy blue looks pretty on all eyes that have a touch of yellow/warmth, including mine :D

These lenses are very beautiful and I think you created a great look to go along with it. I think purple and green works very nice with brown eyes too but I agree with you: don't let your choice depend on "the rules" but do as you please. Makeup should be fun :D

It's a very nice look for brown eyes, but like you said, do's and don'ts aren't always a good guideline. I think your natural eyecolor works amazing with blue as well, although people used to say it was not done with blue eyes :)
